Arthur Casas

Arthur Casas, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University in São Paulo in 1983, became interested early on the concrete art and architecture of straight lines that were born around him. Created a repertoire of thoroughly cosmopolitan influences from his early work in the 80s. Made famous by the consistency of their spaces, and the blend of elegance and intelligence.

 In 2000 in New York, was rediscovered as brazilian. With its architecture and design, Casas issued a new Brazil urban, modern and especially international. Arthur Casas search on concepts from the permanence of classical modernism, which runs the fashion style to remain contemporary, that part of rationalism to get to poetry.

 Founded the Studio Arthur Casas in 1999. Its architecture is spread over New York, Paris, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and especially in São Paulo. Prepares both residential and commercial projects so that it is quite characteristic. Participated in two Biennial of Architecture in São Paulo, in 1997 and 2003 and the Biennial of Buenos Aires in 2003, 2005 and 2007. In 2009 lectured and was awarded the XII Biennial of Buenos Aires. Was invited to talk about his production workshops in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, USA and Spain. In 2007 he released a book on his work and his relationship with the city of São Paulo and is now in its 2nd edition.

With Riva won the Museu da Casa Brasileira Award in 2007 and the following year won the international Red Dot seal.
